“Fine beaches, perfect weather, good people, and a more secure traveling experience”

If you are looking for all these conveniences and excitement, let Australia handle that for you. Perk up your traveling experience in the sixth largest country in the world, twice as large as Europe but less crowded.

Aurora Lillo Editor of the “Best Hotel Deals” website — http://www.BestHotelDeals.biz — pointed out;

“…Make a choice from a wide variety 7000 fantastic beaches and enjoy the luscious greens of flora of approximately 25000 species and diverse but unique fauna as evidenced by the Kangaroo…”

Australians are fun-loving people and are very sociable. You can learn so much about their culture because of their very straightforward attitude towards guests and strangers.

Language Discrepancies

English maybe the widely spoken language in Australia but there are utterances which makes them unique to the rest of the English-speaking world and terminologies better left unsaid.

Some of the most common are Cobber = Buddy, Fairdinkum = Really and Cold One = Beer. Phrases such as righto = okay/alright and rag up = dress warmly are also common.

The word “root” may have evolved to mean “sex” in Australia so it is better to keep from saying that word as long as you could. Same thing applies to “fanny” which came to mean a female’s private part.

Weather

Among the 7 continents, Australia probably has the weirdest climate. Unlike the US, the months of December to February are the hottest and most humid dates of the year.

Keep in mind that Australia’s climate is just the exact opposite with that of the Northern Hemisphere

Southern Australia was recorded to having the harshest climate during the summer season and keeping it out of your itinerary is advisable.

Depending on where you are headed, there are must-haves and clothing you will need to prepare to make sure you will not be caught off-guard for any circumstances that are expected along the way.

Sunglasses and sunscreens and light clothing are important in Australia due to hot climate in some regions, but keeping a jacket during the cold night is a must especially in the southern temperate region. Nice pair of boots in the bushes is practically essential.

Transportation

Public vehicles such taxis are commonplace in Australia. Most taxis charge “flagfall” and a surcharge for distant travels.

“Keep left” is the rule of driving here. It can be quite confusing at times but being careful will surely keeps you away from trouble.

Tipping

Just the exact opposite of the west. Tipping may not be a no-no but it is not generally practice here but you can do so in some special occasions.

“…There are simply 1001 ways to enjoy the beauty of Australia and the good thing is, you can add more to rev up your rewarding traveling experience. Traveling to a distant place poses a lot of challenges but surely it is satisfying and worth the pennies! So enjoy and don’t forget to have a cold one with a cobber!…” added A. Lillo.

Disneyland is one of the most popular places that people from all over the world want to see.

It is one of those place that people considered traveling half-way across the world to visit. If you want to embark on a Disney adventure, here are some of the things you have to know on traveling and how you can get there.

Aurora Lillo Editor of the “Best Hotel Deals” website — http://www.BestHotelDeals.biz — pointed out;

By Car Or By Plane?

“…There are generally two ways in which you can reach Disneyland/World. One is by car and the other is the plane. With gas prices going up, traveling by plane is thought by majority to be a practical choice. Here are the basics of arriving either way…”

Going There Through Plane

You can arrive in one of the five commercial airports located in Los Angeles area. These include: Los Angeles International (LAX), Long Beach (LGB), Burbank (BUR), John Wayne/Orange County (SNA), and Ontario (ONT). Disneyland is closer to Orange County however a lot of park goers still opt for LAX. LAX has more airlines serving it and more flights scheduled.

You should consider San Diego if you’re planning on having a short period of your vacation there. It is best that you get a map and see how the different locations are related to Disneyland.

Once you arrive at an airports in Los Angeles, it is easy to get a shuttle to Disneyland. You will encounter local shuttle companies such as: Golden West Express and Super Shuttle. It is better if you make a reservation in advance. You can get one at the curbside in larger airports.

You can find a car rental service in the airport and drive. If Disneyland is your only destination this can be price and unnecessary.

The Disneyland Resort Express bus is operated by Grayline Anaheim. It runs from John Wayne or LAX Airport to the park. It leaves every 30 minutes. You will need to make a reservation 48 hours advance. You are traveling in a group a rental car is suggested. This can be much cheaper than going for a shuttle.

Going There By Car

You can get to Disneyland by car via I-5 in Anaheim. Take the exit at either Disneyland or Harbor Blvd. It is suggested that you have a good map in hand. Another suggestion is to check out traffic reports first before setting out to save time.

You can also enter the address of Disneyland to the car’s GPS system. The GPS system would bring you to the Parks front gate. You can see signs that lead you to the parking areas. Follow these signs so you do  not get lost.

Hassle Free Parking

Parking at Disneyland is very efficient. As long as you know how to follow signs and directions from friendly staff members you couldn’t go wrong. If ever someone in your party has problems with mobility, just inform the parking attendant in the entrance. They will provide you with special parking near the entrance or a van will bring you to the entrance.

Coming From San Diego

If you are coming from San Diego, you can opt for a bus service going to Anaheim.There are tour companies that offer transportation and ticket packages for Disneyland from San Diego. They can cost you as much as $40 per ticket with no chances for discounts. There can be a time limit. It may be better to rent a car instead. There are companies like Fox Rent-a-Car in the area that you can call to get one.

Hotel To Disney

“…If you’re in your hotel going to Disneyland will not be a problem. From the hotel, there are a number of ways to get to the park such as the monorail, free shuttle services, and trolleys. If your hotel is near enough, you can even walk! …” added A. Lillo.

Accidents do happen unexpectedly, but they can be avoided.

However, despite the fact that a lot of people are trying their best to avoid it, still, many are in danger in the road while traveling.

Aurora Lillo Editor of the “Best Hotel Deals” website — http://www.BestHotelDeals.biz — pointed out;

“… They will never know when an accident will take place. In fact, it seems that the number of people who gets into accidents while traveling is continuously growing…”

In 2003 alone, statistics show that over 6 million car accidents have been reported in the United States, and in those accidents about 2.9 million were injured and 42, 643 people were killed. That is, indeed, a very alarming figure considering the fact that the campaigns about driving safely and avoiding road accidents are in full force.

So, where does the problem lies? Is it on the driver, the car manufacturer, the government, or is it fate for most people who get into accidents? In reality, nobody can really tell who to blame. The only choice people have is to continue driving safely and avoid accidents.

However, in the event that accidents happen, the only way to solve the mishap is to deal with it. Here’s how:

1. Emergency numbers in one’s mobile phone are extremely important.

People just don’t realize this yet, but the emergency numbers stored in their mobile phones are vital to one’s life, especially when away from home or while traveling.

Surveys show that people who usually survive in accidents are those who were attended to immediately by health experts. This goes to show that immediate actions are important so as to save people who have met accidents.

2. Panic is the number one killer in an accident.

The reason why many people do not survive in an accident is because they tend to panic first. They get so panic-stricken that they can no longer clear their mind and think of ways how to deal with the dilemma. That is why it is extremely important to stay calm when accidents and happen and think of ways how to solve the problem.

3. Prevention is still the number one remedy.

Today, car accidents are currently the top most causes of death, usually within the age bracket of 1 to 37. Hence, the majority of the drivers, who are prone to accidents, are young. Usually the causes of accidents in young people are speeding, reckless driving, not wearing seatbelts, and drunk driving.

“…And so, it is important to observe traffic rules and regulations so as to prevent road accidents while traveling. As they say, an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure…” added A. Lillo.

Thinking twice on bringing your kids along when you travel? Traveling with children need not be stressful. Here are few tips on how you can enjoy your trip with less trouble and more fun.

*Plan with your kids
Get the opinion of your kids, this way they can get involved and get excited about it. Children have limited attention span and can easily get tired. Choose simple but fun activities.

Aurora Lillo Editor of the “Best Hotel Deals” website — http://www.BestHotelDeals.biz — pointed out;

“…Things to bring …
Bring along disposable stuff like diapers instead of cloth. You can rent out strollers or pram which is more convenient than bringing along bulky equipments. Remember to pack any medication your children need and a first- aid kit. If with an infant, bring sterilizing equipment for bottle- feeding…”

*Keep them busy
Make the trip enjoyable for the kids by bringing along their favorite toys. Do not allow them to read on the road, this may add to motion sickness and constrain the eyes.

*Be safe on the road
When in a car, be sure that seatbelts are securely in place. Remove unnecessary things on top of the car ledge, they might fall over and hit your kids when you suddenly step on the break. If traveling in a public vehicle, keep your children on your lap or beside you. Crawling or walking around might cause them to fall.

*Avoid motion sickness
Most children complain of being dizzy and sick while traveling, usually on a ship or a boat. If on the road, you can prevent this by planning several stopovers. Open you car windows to let in some fresh air. Before the trip, be sure that your children took a snack. You can also check with your doctor for appropriate anti-nausea medicines.

*Prevent travelers’ diarrhea
You can avoid child dehydration by bringing plenty of distilled water. Stay away from street foods. Also avoid raw fruits and vegetables, sea foods and rare-cooked meats.

*Pack your kids’ favorite food
Children can be choosy when it comes to food. Adults may want to try out the local delicacies but kids prefer to eat something they are familiar with. Most specialty restaurants might add a kid’s meal to their menu; you can check it out before dining in.

“…Overall, the most important tip is: be patient. Sure, you will have some bad moments, but traveling with kids can be a lot of fun if you’ll take the time to understand them. It’s always nice to see your kids happy and smiling brightly, of course, you should too! …” added A. Lillo.
