Pattaya is one of the most actively visited cities in Thailand right next to Bangkok. So it’s no surprise that searches for cheap budget hotels in Pattaya is on every visitor’s mind. But which Internet hotel reservation website offers discount rates and is reliable for booking hotels in Pattaya? There are many after all and I’m sure you know that by now.
Whether you are looking for an affordable budget hotel in Pattaya or a 5 star luxury resort it is best to check multiple hotel reservation website for the best deals. But there is an industry secret. All websites that offer hotel reservations in Thailand provide more or less the same rates. So what I recommend is finding a company that offers benefits and a best price guarantee.
Agoda.com is one such company that offers customer loyalty benefits and a best price guarantee to ensure you get the best rates. Their guarantee states that if you find a better price after you have booked through Agoda within 48 hours they will either match or beat the price. Obviously the reservation has to be for the same travel days and room type.
Agoda.com is no small company and I’m sure you have already come across their website more than once. They are a part of the largest Internet travel agency called Priceline.com. Agoda’s advantage for hotels in Thailand is due to the fact that they have an office in Bangkok. This means they are able to get updated deals and specials first from local and internationally run Thai hotels. So if you you want to find special deals and hotel discounts for Pattaya, Agoda is the place to find them.
The best thing about Agoda is their customer loyalty program called Agoda rewards points. You automatically earn 4% – 7% of the room rate. It’s easy to join. Once you make your first booking through Agoda you have already begun earning rewards points.
There are many other benefits that puts Agoda beyond their competitors. They are a trustworthy reputable hotel reservation website and I highly recommend them for booking hotels in Pattaya Thailand.

http://www.hotwire.com is great. Lots of really nice hotels for a lot cheaper than other sites, and often the same price as crappy hotels.

I have checked every site on the web (or at least most of the big ones anyway) and the two best I have found are:
http://www.hotwire.com/index.jsp?sid=S20&bid=B256273&kid=K0000001&mid=M01
http://travel.priceline.com/default.asp?rdr=1&session_key=420011AC5C0011AC20080330164841651bc0943022
With Priceline you have to bid but you can get some incredible prices. I got a 4 star in NYC last November for $125/night (The normal price was $450/night). Check them out and you'll see what I mean.

I just got back from DC yesterday. We bought hotel tickets through priceline.com. Stayed at a four-star hotel for $88. It was approximately 15 minutes away.
As far as sightseeing, most of your monuments are within walking distance to the White House. Don't forget to check out the Vietnam Memorial between the Lincoln Memorial and the White House. Very sobering!
Have a blessed trip!
