when you say meal. Its not common in London to have dinner included. However breakfast is often included in the cheap to medium rate hotels. Check the rate description.

The best way to go would be by booking via a bargain site, such as Orbitz, Expedia, or Travelocity. I am searching a flight from Chicago ORD to London LHR on May 13 to May 20, for one-adult, round-trip on http://www.orbitz.com. The total fare with taxes included is $491.32. That is round-trip, for one person. The flight is non-stop, and is conducted by American Airlines. Here are the flight details:

Wed, May 13 Depart: 9:10 am Chicago, IL (ORD) American Airlines 90

Arrive: 10:40 pm London, United Kingdom (LHR)

Wed, May 20 Depart: 7:55 am London, United Kingdom (LHR) American Airlines 99

Arrive: 10:20 am Chicago, IL (ORD)

Since you live in a dream holiday destination have you thought about a house-swap? People from London leave you their house and car and they go and stay in yours. It saves on hotel bills and you have the comfort of being able to cook for yourselves and not being woken up by cleaners in the morning.

The cheapest way to travel is definitely to buy an Oyster card. You have to pay a 3 pound deposit, but then the fares are so much cheaper both on the tube and buses. When you leave you just give back the Oyster card and they give you your deposit back. Look on this site for details of travelling in London in general:

For hotels look on lastminute.com for good deals. Otherwise just look up hotels in the city. If you mean the city as in where the investment banks are, I wouldn't stay there, even if you're here on business. I'd probably look in Southwark which is just across the river as it's a lot livelier, especially on the weekends (but if you just mean city as in the city of London, then ignore that bit!).

As for where you can convert dollars to pounds, try any bureau d'echange! If you're really stuck though I know Marks and Spencer convert money when you get here…

    Have fun in London!

14 pounds is less than 18 euros. I assume you mean PER PERSON because if not then forget about it.

The Auberge Internationale des Jeunes at 10 rue Trousseau in the 11th arrondeissment is about that price. http://www.aijparis.com/framea.htm
