First off, visit a travel agency in KL. They would be best to advise you on getting to Sydney , on a variety of airlines that serve that city. They will also be able to arrange an Electronic Travel visa for you.
It would of course be preferred that you have some sort of documentation such as address, your friend's name, and phone number ie mobile phone with you. A letter from your place of employment in Malaysia helps too. How long you have been there, and how long of a holiday you will be taking. If you do not have a job currently in Malaysia, then you might be asked how you are going to support yourself whilst on holiday.
There is no easy way to pass through immigration , especially in Australia. You will be asked questions as to why you are going to Sydney, how long you will be staying, who you will be seeing etc.
You might be asked to go to a secondary check, which is to verify your resources. Once you pass through that, you will be asked to go through customs check. Please do not bring in any meat, food, plant or even wood products into Australia. They are very strict with that.
But above all, just go and have a good time in Australia.

Emirates (via Dubai) or Etihad (via Abu Dhabi) seem to offer the best rates to Germany from Malaysia, i.e. Kuala Lumpur to Frankfurt. The online best price is around your budget. I would try to contact a local travel agent to see whether you can get a better price. Depending on where you do your purchase, prices do vary quite a bit. I did my search using http://www.kayak.com.

London to Singapore is more frequent than London to Malaysia, so there's a better *chance* of finding cheap flights to there. It's a common stopover destination for Australian flights, so look for those kind of airlines

AirAsia will only fly u to Johor Larkin airport and u will still have to take a coach into Singapore. M'sia-S'pore routes are monopolised by MAS and SIA. I believe the cheapest would be JAL.

Broad question
Anyway I will try to answer it.
For the flight I can recomend:

I hope they have flights between Kuala Lumpur and Frankfurt in their program.
To travel in germany you have two possibilities either the train or Mitfahrzentrale ( you drive together with other people by car)

http://www.mitfahrzentrale.de/index.php?landnr=D&lang=GB
For the cheapest acomodation I would recomend a hostel:

There is not one website that will always have the cheapest price all of the time. However, I think among these, you will find the best offers currently available:
http://www.cheapflights.co.uk showing one at £359rtn

There are only two major airlines operating between Malaysian destinations, the national carrier Malaysia Airlines and the budget carrier AirAsia. There are also smaller operators like Pelangi Air, Berjaya Air and Mofaz Air specializing in certain sectors. Of these, AirAsia offers deep discounts for early bookers online but the others do give discounts during promotions.
