Hot Summer In Florence - Top 3 Hotel Deals For Florence Summer Fi.esta 2007

Summer 2007 in Florence has a brand new name, Fi-Esta, when the historical areas of Florence stage leading-edge exhibitions showing fusions among dance, theatre, music and cinema, all together all the art forms to open the old city to new resonances from art influences.

Lively squares are the main attraction – like Easy Living in Santo Spirito, the most pictoresque square in Florence blooming with open-air bars and live music ranging from Irish country music to Classic Symphonic Concerts. The event was opened by a Muse Live Concert in Piazzale Michelangelo, and now will continue with Roberto Benigni reading Dante’s Inferno on Friday July the 20th.

Forte Belvedere, Fiesole, Piazzale Michelangelo…and many other evocative areas, inviting travellers to participate to the social and cultural life of the city, becoming Florentine, even only for a summer…so you can miss the best hotel deals in Florence!

http://www.hotwire.com is great. Lots of really nice hotels for a lot cheaper than other sites, and often the same price as crappy hotels.

I just got back from DC yesterday. We bought hotel tickets through priceline.com. Stayed at a four-star hotel for $88. It was approximately 15 minutes away.

As far as sightseeing, most of your monuments are within walking distance to the White House. Don't forget to check out the Vietnam Memorial between the Lincoln Memorial and the White House. Very sobering!

    Have a blessed trip!

I have checked every site on the web (or at least most of the big ones anyway) and the two best I have found are:
    http://www.hotwire.com/index.jsp?sid=S20&bid=B256273&kid=K0000001&mid=M01
    http://travel.priceline.com/default.asp?rdr=1&session_key=420011AC5C0011AC20080330164841651bc0943022
With Priceline you have to bid but you can get some incredible prices. I got a 4 star in NYC last November for $125/night (The normal price was $450/night). Check them out and you'll see what I mean.
