Hotel Deals at Last Minute Prices

Booking at the last minute has always been a way to save money when travelling, but in the case of hotels this can sometimes leave you with nowhere to stay. The truth is that many hotels book well in advance, and often become fully booked for the whole of the peak season. In these cases it is always advisable to plan in advance, but what if you only decide to go away at the last minute?

The fact is, we cannot always plan our lives in advance. Personal and business trips will often happen at a moment’s notice so it is important to learn where to get the best deals and ensure you have somewhere to stay. The internet is proving increasingly useful in seeking out these deals, and there are many sites which will list literally thousands of hotel options across the world (as well as hostels, B&Bs, apartments and more).

Most of these online services are free, but this does not mean they are not useful. In fact they generally work on commission from a hotel or travel agency for every booking that they make, so it is in their interests to offer you the best deals possible. You could try a paid site to ensure the deals are genuine, but most free sites will be extremely useful. This also means that you can start making bookings from the comfort of your own home, and at great prices too!

Online hotel directories are the best way to get a good deal at the last minute. You simply have to perform a quick search of the area you want to stay, and click on any deals you might be interested on. This will then allow you to view information on the hotel, such as photographs, directions and even user reviews. All of this is really invaluable in making sure you get a good class of accommodation but still for a low price.

To find the best deals on any hotels website you will have to have a budget in mind. Think about what you expect to get within this budget. For example, an all-inclusive holiday deal may end up saving you more money than a simple bed and breakfast. You could also benefit from sharing a room, or seeing what extra services may be included in the room fee. Once you know exactly what you are after, these hotel sites will search according to your needs.

Hotel deals are much easier to find when looking online. There are always simple facts to remember, such as sharing a bathroom will lower the price, as well staying on weekdays. However, the choice of hotels available means that you will often find something suitable that is well within your price range. In most cases you will be able to type in your exact requirements and view the results according to the price to make sure that you can assess all of the cheapest options before any others, which really does make the internet the best way to book your hotel.

Help answer the question about travel hotels deals

What travel site would you say had the best hotel deals?
Me and five of my friends are looking for a hotel in Myrtle Beach, and there are so many sites to research with so many resorts and hotels, I would like to narrow it down to a couple sites. Which one would you recommend and what reasons?

Last minute deals are available and reasonably priced but it is a risk because it's only offered if flights and rooms haven't reached their capacity and won't be advertised until the last minute. The other part of the risk is that there may not be anything to offer. Book as early as you can. That's always best because every December for example isn't the same because when big acts come to down, prices can go up.

Actually with Priceline, you do name your price for hotels. Hotwire is similar.

Last-minute deals are fine. They don't discount the "crappy" rooms and sell the "nice" rooms at a more expensive rate. They just discount some of the rooms to entice people and fill them up, because it pretty much costs them the same amount to have a half-full hotel for a night as it does to have a full one; airlines do the same thing to get people to buy the seats.

If you're staying at a Disney hotel, you can expect the room to be nice. Don't worry about it–jump on your deal and be excited about it!

Since Thanksgiving weekend is the busiest retail time of year, you may be hard pressed to find a deal. Suggest looking at various hotel websites directly for last minute specials. Some may have cancellations due to Broadway strike. Might also consider nycvisit.com for deals. If you are definitely coming, priceline.com will allow you to bid for rooms but be advised you have to accept wherever if your bid is accepted.
If price is a primary consideration, consider staying in NJ and taking the train in to Midtown.
    Good luck!

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online… otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

I suggest you book through a wholesaler who gets good rates! I personally reccomend going through http://www.BestofVegas.com

But sometimes if the weekend is crazy sometimes there is nothing you can do, but shell out an arm and a leg for a normally cheap room.
