How to find a hotel deal this summer?

While planning for a summer vacation, hotels are the last item on people’s list to book. This is not a good approach especially if you are traveling with family as good hotels are booked first. You might be stuck with a badly managed and located hotel.

Summer is the busiest holiday season in USA and I felt that it is important to share some tips about booking a hotel for your summer vacation.

Many vacationers look for newer and more luxurious hotels while some old tradition hotels with excellent track record of customer service are available for a lesser price. Recently I helped a customer book a hotel in Los Angeles with 100 years of history. The price was 25% less than a newer hotel. He thoroughly enjoyed his stay and told me that the staff told him many interesting stories of past celebrities.

Hotels located near popular tourist destination are always more expensive and more crowded. I recently went on a family vacation to Las Vegas, we booked a hotel that was half a mile away from the famous strip but much more comfortable, cheaper and convenient. We did not have to face drunken couples who were depressed because of their losses in casinos.

Weekend rates are cheaper than week day rates for hotels. The reason is that many business traveler book hotels during week days for their business trips. Hotels on the other hand market their properties more for week day business travelers. If you want to save money it is always better to book hotels for the week end.

If you book hotel with a car in a package you might be able to save some more as travel services companies like GetUSAHotels to get bulk discounts for package sales. Do your own math and if you feel you can get a better hotel with a car for the same price then it is a good deal.

There is no set formula for saving on travel but a little effort can make your trip enjoyable, comfortable and economical.

Help answer the question about travel hotel deals

Does anyone know a website that really gives you good deals on travel, including air and hotel?
I am tired of going to these supposed great deal sites and they are really rip offs.

Your best bet is to just book with the Walt Disney World Resort, directly. If you book it at another site, they just book it with Walt Disney World for you, and then it'll be more expensive because they have to make some money, too.

I suggest staying at Disney's Polynesian Resort, if you can afford it. That's where I always stay. It's so beautiful and it's one of WDW's original Resorts, the other being the Contemporary Resort. It's also a monorail Resort. You can get to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot easily by way of the monorail. Many rooms have gorgeous views of the Magic Kingdom. It's so magical at night when it lights up different colors! And the Resort hosts the Spirit Of Aloha Dinner Show, formerly known as the Polynesian luau. It's awesome!

As for the "free dining" TechFanatic speaks of… you have to book by June 4, and it's only available August 13 thru September 30. And you have to book a certain package:

A 5-night/6-day vacation package including hotel and Theme Park tickets for $435 per adult and $175 per child.

It's not a very good deal unless you absolutely can't afford anything else and you want to go during the hottest, bussiest time of year.

    Package includes:

Disney Resort Stay- Includes a standard room at a select Disney Value Resort. No group rates or other discounts apply.
Theme Park Tickets- Visit one of four Theme Parks each day of your ticket.
Disney Dining Plan- Choose from over 100 Walt Disney World restaurants.

This means you don't have much of an option for Resorts. I love ALL of Disney, but the All-Star Resorts aren't that great. Go with a Moderate or Deluxe Resort. And also, this doesn't include the "Park Hopper" or "Water Parks & More" ticket options. Which really sucks. It really limits you to only a few of the things you can do at Disney.

I always go top-notch- Disney's Polynesian Resort, along with the Premium or Platinum Package.

Hope this helps! Have fun! It's the HAPPIEST CELEBRATION ON EARTH!!!

Your best bet is to do a city-wide quote and see what's available among the hotels — it's difficult to give even an average price, since there's such a big difference between what all the hotels offer.

Head over to http://www.resideo.com/gb/london/ and click the "Check Availability" button. Choose your dates, submit the form, and check out the results.

You can sort the list by rating or by price.

Read more about each hotel, view pics, etc & then book online!

    Good luck, and have fun!

Hola! I'm from barcelona, and obviously I recommend you come whenever you want. Always there are tourists in Barcelona at any time of year because the weather is usually very good, but especially between late July and early September, the hotels, hostels, campsites … fill with people. so if you want movement, life, great food, millions of trips and the best weather of the year I recommend you come in those months.
COUNCIL IMPORTANT: As we say here "a l'Abril aigües mil" in the month of April used to rain a little, and in the last 2 weeks of August and early September at 2 also. Barcelona is quite different if you see a sunny day to overcast.
